Atlantic Audubon Society (AAS) is an official local chapter of the National Audubon Society in South Jersey, dedicated to educating its members and the public about the natural world. We accomplish our mission with ten programs per year that cover a variety of topics, including wildlife, conservation, birding travel, current environmental issues, and more.
AAS meets in Galloway on the fourth Wednesday of each month except November and December. We offer bird walks at Edwin B. Forsythe National Wildlife Refuge every Saturday in April, May, September, and October and we have field trips throughout the year. Additional meetings, field trips, etc. will be announced; please see our events calendar for the latest information and details.

Membership news
Our next regular meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 27, 2026. The meeting location has been changed due to the fact that the Galloway Township Library is doing "early voting training" for that week.
We will now be meeting at the Linwood City Library located at 301 Davis Avenue, Linwood, NJ at 6:30 p.m. for light refreshments with the meeting starting at 7 p.m. Please feel free to bring your own drinks if you wish. If you are not familiar with the location, the best option is Route 9 (New Road) and then going down either Maple Avenue or Davis Avenue. There is parking on the side streets of Wilson, Davis and Grammercy Avenues. The entrance is on the right side of the building which we will have labeled. Our May meeting is for handing out awards and checks to our scholarship recipients. We will have a short business discussion as well as Josh asking about any bird sightings recently seen. I am sure there are plenty as this is prime time for birding right now. May 30 is our last Spring Bird Walk of the season at Forsythe. May 31 is our first road cleanup of the year. Please come out to help. Details can be found on our Road Cleanups page under the "Volunteer" menu at the top of the page. |
